I usually open up the same 5-6 news-type sites every morning right after I get into the office. I think informing yourself on whats going on in the world is a pretty important morning habit- it kind of arms you to be a competent human being for the next 14+ hours. Then throughout the day I’ll recheck the Guardian, but probably also look at Mashable, Gizmodo, Selectism, Four Pins, and Gawker. When I’m feeling uninspired my go-to, like pretty much the rest of the planet, is JJJJound.
